Mayhurst Estate is located in historic Orange, Virginia. This majestic, Italianate, Victorian estate sits on 37 private acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The old world beauty of Mayhurst inspires the creative soul, replenishes the spirit, and provides a private atmosphere to build enriching relationships, gain clarity on your Instagram content, and batch create aesthetically beautiful images and reels for your feed.

Meet Casey

 After running a successful wedding photography business for over a decade, I knew I wanted to pivot and use my gifts & passion for storytelling to document and support the adventure my family was living, here at Mayhurst Estate. 

I quickly discovered the power of Instagram to share our story with the world. It was here that I could merge my passion for sharing my faith, document our family's adventure, and organically support our hospitality business and ministry.

 

Through many years of hard work, I have broken through the frustration barriers of Instagram, freely  & organically market our B&B and Non-Profit Ministry to Millions globally, have monetized our influence, landed national magazine features, and most significantly, have heard the testimony of countless souls we have been able to impact with the life-altering hope of the Gospel.

 

It is now my passion to teach others how to do the same.

 

Meet Jason

 Jason Cashell, founder and CEO of Mayhurst Estate. Jason is an extraordinary husband and father, lover of God, hopeless romantic, and a bundle of energy. His passion for cultivating beauty, hospitality, cooking, history, ministry and architecture finds a perfect outlet in the daily running of Mayhurst. Jason is an expert at creating an unforgettable hospitality experience.

 

Jason's love for history and architecture is evident in every corner of Mayhurst. He has meticulous attention to detail, managing the running of the estate and full client experience. He ensures that the estate retains its historic charm while offering thoughtful comforts for all who come through its doors. His enthusiasm and humor are infectious, making Mayhurst a place of laughter and joy.

Do I have to stay at Mayhurst to attend the retreat?

Yes. Staying at Mayhurst is a key part of the Experience . There are 9 Rooms available. Rooms can be shared or remain private. If all 9 rooms that are first to book wish to remain private the remaining attendees can choose accommodations elsewhere.

Can I share a room with my Spouse or a Team Member? 

Yes. Text 330-599-8309 to notify us that your spouse will be attending or that you are willing to share a room w/ your team member. NOTE: For the spouse or team member, you will need to add on a Team Member ticket at check out for $250.

How many meals are covered? 

All meals are covered with the exception of two dinners. If you have allergies or aversions please notify our team ahead of time.

 

What are the closest airports and how do I get to Mayhurst from the Airport? 

  • Charlottesville Airport (45 min)
  • Richmond Airport (1 hr)
  • Dulles Intn'l Airport (2 hrs)

What should I bring? 

Pack what you use for content creating!  iPhone, tripod, laptop, professional camera. Bring outfits you wish to be photographed in or props you would like to use for storytelling. Don't forget your Bible & Journal!

What are some things to do in the area? 

You are welcome to come early or stay later to enjoy Virginia's epically beautiful countryside! Mayhurst is located in the heart of early American History (Montpelier, Monticello, & Mount Vernon), wine country, horse country, & the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Do i need to have photography experience?

You don't even need a fancy dancy camera. Simply tuck your phone in your bag and you’re ready to learn how take some epically beautiful photos & videos to document your property and story!

Will the food be provided?

INCLUDED:

  • Monday Night: Candlelight Dinner 
  • Breakfast & Lunch @ Mayhurst Estate (Tues. & Wed.)

NOT INCLUDED

  • 2 Dinners Out (Tues. & Wed. night)

 

If i don’t own a STR Property yet, can i still attend?

No matter where you are along your journey, you are welcome. If you do not yet own your property this retreat is still for you! This is your opportunity to be mentored and network with industry professionals before taking the plunge. 

How many people will be attending?

A maximum of 12 attendees. This will allow us to give individual training as we work through the value packed agenda.

Can i share photos from the workshop?

Absolutely! The images you collect from our time together are all yours. You can share them on social media, feature them on your website, or in marketing materials. If submitting into Magazines, photo credit will remain with Casey Cashell.
