8-9am- Breakfast at Mayhurst

9:30am- Farmyard Fun- Goat Babies & Milking Sessions

10:30am- Beeswax Candle making while listening to the Pride & Prejudice film score 

12:00- Luncheon at Market at Grelen

2:00- Pick Flowers at James Madison's Montpelier

3:00- Flower Pressing at Mayhurst

5:30- Group Dinner at Forked on Main

8:30- Outdoor Movie Night: Watch Sense & Sensibility under the twinkling lights of the Mayhurst Garden and enjoy Popcorn, Dessert & Tea 

Wednesday

8-9am- Breakfast at Mayhurst

10:00- Soak in Mayhurst. Unwind & Savor the Gardens, spaces to Read, Write, Paint, or Linger in Conversation with friends.

12am- Lunch at Patty O's at the Inn at Little Washington. Explore the gardens, walking paths, & antique stores.

4:00- arrive back at Mayhurst & refresh

6:30- Group Dinner at Spoon & Spindle

Evening: Step into the world of Sense & Sensibility—discuss, reflect, and savor the timeless themes of love, loss, and sisterhood during a Fireside Chat while we enjoy traditional English Desserts & Tea

Madison Hearn is an author, speaker, and the founder of Dear Single Woman. Her struggles with singleness and dating had her searching for answers, and eventually she discovered truths in scripture that allowed her to actually enjoy her single years! 

 Eventually, God brought her a husband all the way from Nepal, Asia (God writes the best stories!) and together they love building businesses, serving in the church, trying new restaurants and exploring nature.

Now,  it's her passion to share these life-giving truths with others and help single ladies see the blessings of their season. It is her greatest to  joy  provide a retreat that provides friendship, encouragement and is a means of grace on this journey of Blooming in the  season the Lord has for you!

Casey Cashell

Casey Cashell is a storyteller at heart, a Social Media Content Creator, Online Educator and owner of Mayhurst Estate, a historic Victorian Italianate manor in Virginia, where they have merged their love for home, business, ministry and family into a one-of-a-kind retreat center.

Ten years ago, she was convicted through the sudden death of a young friend that she needed to be as intentional as possible with the use of my time, gifts, ministry and business endeavors. 

She wanted to make sure all that she gave her life to was for the glory of God & the good of others. In this pursuit, she has found the secret to flourishing no matter the season of life she is in.

It is now her passion to teach others how to do the same. Here's to flourishing together friend.

Do I have to stay at Mayhurst  to attend the retreat?

Yes.All attendees will either be staying at Mayhurst. This is a key part of the Old World Immersion Experience . There are 9 Rooms available at Mayhurst. 

Can I share a room with a friend? Or attend with my spouse?

Yes. Text 330-599-8309 to notify us that you are willing to share a room w/ another attendee or desire to bring a friend/spouse. NOTE: Your friend will need to purchase their own Retreat Ticket Separately. 

How many meals are covered? 

Meal Plans are noted in the Itinerary above. If you have allergies or aversions please notify our team ahead of time.

 

What are the closest airports and how do I get to Mayhurst from the Airport? 

  • Charlottesville Airport (45 min)
  • Richmond Airport (1 hr)
  • Dulles Intn'l Airport (2 hrs)

Do I need to rent a car?

Yes, each attendee is responsible for their own transportation. Ubers and Lyfts are not easily found.

What are some things to do in the area? 

You are welcome to come early or stay later to enjoy Virginia's epically beautiful countryside! Mayhurst is located in the heart of early American History (Montpelier, Monticello, & Mount Vernon), wine country, horse country, & the Blue Ridge Mountains.
